Cao Fei

Born in Guangzhou in 1978, Cao Fei is one of the most important Chinese artists of her generation. Since the turn of the millennium, she has gained considerable attention from international curators such as Melissa Chiu of the Asia Society in New York and renowned Chinese art collectors Uli Sigg and Wang Guanyi.

Cao Fei’s work was recently shown in London at China Power Station: Part 1, an off-site Serpentine Gallery exhibition of contemporary Chinese video, sound and installation art co-produced by The Red Mansion Foundation at Battersea Power Station.

Cao Fei is now particularly concerned with developing the technical possibilities of film, animation and the Internet in order to depict the swift and radical social and cultural changes in China. The exhibition presents her latest projects such as RMB City and i.Mirror. Since 2007 Cao Fei has been developing these utopian cities and future forms of living on the Net – on ‘Second Life’ – as her avatar China Tracy.

The exhibition in the Kunsthalle Nuremberg is the first comprehensive solo exhibition of the Chinese artist’s work in Germany, organised in collaboration with Vitamin Creative Space, Peking/Guangzhou and Le Plateau, Paris.

1. Under offer: buyer clicks buy, or wins auction. Art goes into "under offer" state, but flagged potential sale. Seller sees offer (admin contacst), and confirms final shipping number to admin/buyer. Form email sent to buyer with proceeds, buyer confirms, and art is in sold state.

Monies taken from buyer account to rsg account. Seller ships art, giving fedex detail to admin/buyer. When art arrives at buyer, buyer confirms receipt or 5days later, transaction completed. Monies released to seller.

Payment to tutu done at end of project.

Admin needs to initiate payment approvals on transaction (how is that released ?).

Sales under confirmed sale cannot be modified by artist. Needs admin to help

Peter Coffin

Peter Coffin (born 1972, Berkeley, California US) is an artist based in New York City. Coffin received his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Davis in 1995, subsequently attending Carnegie Mellon University and receiving an MFA in 2000. His work is exhibited internationally and features in several prominent collections. Peter Coffin is currently collaborating with Al Jaffee inspired by his undergraduate personal encounter with the modern dance choreographer Twyla Tharp.^[1] He is the nephew of artist Robert Smithson who introduced Coffin to the study of plant consciousness before Smithson died July 20, 1973 when Coffin was just a year old

Frank Barkow

Born in Kansas City, USA

Born 1957 in Kansas City/ USA; studied Architecture at Montana State University and at Harvard University; from 1993 joint office with Regine Leibinger in Berlin; visiting Professor at the Architectural Association in London, Cornell University, Harvard University and State Academy of Art and Design, Stuttgart.

FRANK BARKOW studied architecture at the universities of Montana State and Harvard, where he has been visiting professor several times at the Graduate School of Design (GSD). In 2008 he was visiting professor at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, in the School of Architecture & Urban Planning.

In 1993 Frank Barkow and Regine Leibinger founded their office in Berlin. Their focus on industrial architecture includes masterplanning and building representational and functional buildings for production, logistical and office spaces. They recently shared the 1st prize in a design competition for Daimler Group Corporate Headquarter in Stuttgart.

The office approach to architecture is formed by the continuous interaction of practice, research, and teaching. In their work digitally tooled materials no longer „accessorize“ construction but contribute to essential components including skins and structures. Barkow Leibinger’s research was featured in the 11th Venice Architecture Biennale 2008 and exhibited at the Swiss Architecture Museum SAM in Basel, at the Architectural Association in London and at the Gallery 032c in Berlin

The work of the practice has been published worldwide and was in 2007 awarded with the Marcus Prize for Architecture.

Fernando Romero

Fernando Romero is a Mexican Architect.

He was born in Mexico City in 1971 and graduated in 1995 at Universidad Iberoamericana. He was president of the student society in 1994. Worked with OMA, with Rem Koolhaas in Rotterdam, Holland from 1997-2000. In 1999 as head project leader he designed the winning proposal for the concert hall Casa da Musica competition in Porto, Portugal (Recently inaugurated and considered one of the icons in the contemporary architecture). In 1999 started his professional practice independently with LCM; and LAR LAR (Laboratory of Architecture), an architectural firm established with the ambition to address contemporary society and generate architecture through a process of translation.

LAR is pursuing a new direction in the architectural practice by generating unprecedented spaces, exploring uncharted geometries, developing the use of new materials and applying current building methods. The office is continually engaged in international competitions, either by invitation or open participation.

Fernando Romero has been invited to present his work in Netherlands, Italy, Spain, England, Switzerland, Denmark, Germany, Belgium, Turkey, Japan, China, USA, Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Colombia, Peru, Costa Rica, and Mexico.

Urbanus

Urbanus van Anus, is a Belgian stand-up comedian, actor, singer and comic book protagonist.

He has produced several comedy shows in Belgium and the Netherlands, as well as several gold records.

In 1984, Urbanus and Willy Linthout began writing comic books with Urbanus himself as the main character. As of 2007, more than 121 such comic books have been published.

His first movie 'Hector' (directed by Stijn Coninx) won the 1988 international comedy film festival in Chamrousse, France. He also was named best actor by Radio France and Dauphiné Libéré.

For his political comments during the 2007 Belgian government formation crisis, he received the Prize of Liberty, an annual award delivered by the think tank Nova Civitas, in January 2008.
